My name is Anna and I want to tell you a little bit about Butterflies and Bananas. Butterflies and Bananas is all about connecting with families through children’s books and handmade greeting cards. I have always been involved with helping families whether at church, home, or at a non-profit organizations. Through these experiences, I’ve come to learn that families heal and grow through love. 

 

What does this have to do with Butterflies and Bananas? 

Ever since I was a little girl, I love to express myself using paper. From writing a poem, painting a picture, and doing origami, I’ve learned that a piece of paper can be used for many things. A simple paper can do wonders! So, I’ve decided to use my passion for paper to send messages of love to the families around me. The result of this was the birth of Butterflies and Bananas!

 

So, What is exactly are Butterflies and Bananas?

Butterflies in Butterflies and Bananas represent the collection of children’s books. Butterflies are colorful and vibrant. Their vibrant colors attract children and bring them lots of joy. In the same way Butterflies and Bananas hopes to bring smiles to the faces of children through children’s books. 

 

What about the Bananas?

Bananas in Butterflies and Bananas represent the collection of greeting cards. We all have nicknames. We give and get nicknames from people when you build close relationship with them. When I was growing up, my nickname was “Anna Banana”. When a person goes from just calling me by my official name “Anna” to calling me by my nickname “Anna Banana”, I know that we have become one level closer. This is the inspiration behind the “banana” in Butterflies and Bananas. Butterflies and Bananas hopes to help strengthen relationships through handmade cards:)

And Beauties?

Beauties is a collaboration project with Rainbow Beauty Company to meet the skincare needs of the families. Families have many needs. One of the needs that are faced by people of all ages and everyone in the family is skincare needs. So Butterflies and Bananas started a collaboration project to provide families with quality skincare products.
